Greenwich Village
Just "the Village" to locals. NYU students everywhere, but somehow still keeps its creative, bohemian spirit. Washington Square Park is NYC's best people-watching spot, hands down. Historic jazz clubs, comedy cellars, and those winding streets that make you forget about Manhattan's grid. Expensive as hell now but worth visiting for the energy alone.
