Hell's Kitchen

Not so hellish anymore. Theatre district adjacent with tons of great restaurants (especially Thai and Mexican spots). The High Line brought the tourists, and those mega-developments on the west side brought the luxury apartments. Still got some grit though, and Restaurant Row on 46th Street is actually worth checking out.
