Battery Park City

Battery Park City

Built on literal trash (it's landfill), BPC turned into one of Manhattan's cleanest, greenest neighborhoods. Think luxury high-rises, waterfront running paths, and more parks than you can count. It's super family-friendly but can feel a bit sterile compared to other parts of the city. Great for sunset views of the Statue of Liberty though.
